Ammonite Corrosion Engineering Inc. and its subsidiary Cormetrics Ltd. have a wealth of technical experience in finding solutions to field corrosion problems and managing related project specific work activities. We focus manpower to project completion while being able to draw on the combined technical expertise within our companies and list of expert associates.
Depending on the work activity, field investigations may be required to provide for hands on inspection, data collection, sampling requirements or discussion with operations personnel.

Completion of system surveys to gain a better understanding of the field/plant layout, operating methods and review of field records. Discussions with operations personnel often reveal significant clues.

We can assist with in-situ examination of failed equipment and pipelines. Important information can be obtained by being onsite when equipment is being repaired.

Field work allows the opportunity to determine what samples are required while ensuring proper sampling techniques are followed and completion of any required field analysis for generation of the highest quality data.
The following provides some examples of project activities that are areas of expertise within our companies: -
System corrosion management review, in new fields, during expansion projects or following acquisitions we bring valuable expertise in design, implementation, monitoring and planning.

System assessment to identify areas of higher corrosion risk (pipeline velocity profiling, fluids and solids analysis), review of monitoring capabilities or assessment of historical monitoring data.

Production chemical program audits and project management during reviews. We have specialized testing equipment for evaluation of corrosion inhibitors and technical expertise in treatment program strategies. During plant upset conditions for “wet oil” or during field trials we can assist in optimizing or improving treatment efficiency. Application of paraffin treatment programs, scale control chemistries or biocide applications are all areas where our experience can add significant value.
